Saw the news on Ch8 at 10.30pm...
1) SM Goh said to the press that maybe the increase of GST for next year will take place step by step, and not increase to 7% at a go... Well, what's the diff? I seriously can't think of any reason that by increasing the GST, it will balance off the society and also better helps the more needy with the revenue generated. How will this really helps the more needy? It will only add on burden to their expenses from my point of view. I think that there's definitely a better way to help the more needy rather than increasing GST. I must agree that the GST imposed is relaitvely low compared to countries like UK, US and etc. la.. BUT BUT BUT.. Well at the end of the day, its not my call.
2) A spokesman(I dunno who la) said that due to cheap supply from China, it have cause rapid increase in drug abuser, where they share the usage of those syringe which in terms cause a huge increase in AIDS. 5 out of 8 patients who is diagnosed with AIDS are drug abuser. The funny point is, THEY ARE ACTUALLY PRODUCING SYRINGE for those drug abuser!! WTH, to decrease the amount of AIDS carrier, they produce syringe for the drug abuser?? OMFG THIS IS THE MOST HILARIOS NEWS I EVER HEARD!!!
